Director / Barrister

Amrit Kaur is a specialist Family Court barrister who assists clients through some of the most difficult and sensitive periods of their lives.

Her practice includes care of children, family violence and Oranga Tamariki matters. She is known for providing clear, candid and independent advice, including when difficult conversations are necessary.

Amrit believes effective advocacy begins with understanding the real issues facing a family. 

She works closely with her clients to identify risks, understand their options and develop practical strategies that protect what matters most, particularly the safety and wellbeing of children.

Outside of Work

Amrit believes in always learning something new, both professionally and personally. In keeping with her connection to Aotearoa New Zealand, she is currently learning te reo Māori, embracing the opportunity to develop her understanding of the language and culture.

Outside of her legal practice, she values spending time with family and friends and making time to recharge and maintain a balanced life.

Legal Assistant 

Abhishek is often the first point of contact for our clients and plays an important role in keeping matters organised and moving forward. 

Working closely with Amrit, he manages the day-to-day details of each matter, from communication and document preparation to file management and coordination.

With a background in law and experience working across India and New Zealand, he brings a practical, approachable and detail-focused style to his work. He understands that legal matters can feel overwhelming, and takes pride in keeping clients informed, supported and comfortable throughout the process.

For Abhishek, it’s about being someone clients can rely on.

Outside of Work

Abhishek enjoys exploring New Zealand, keeping active and discovering new places, food and experiences. He is naturally curious and enjoys learning something new, whether through travel, conversations or his ongoing interest in law and technology.
